Business Overview

The musical drama "The Key" by composer Francesca Leroy was performed at a residence in London as a program of the opera festival "Tête a Tête" in London. Based on the novel "Kagi" by Junichiro TANIZAKI. The relationship between the four characters is told to the reader through a couple's diary written on the premise of stealing glances at each other. The husband's vision of the couple's sex life dramatically changes the family relationship. Kimura, a husband, a wife, a daughter, and a husband, each with their own secrets, try to achieve their individual goals by peering into each other's lives. This work consists of three trios and dances. Each is placed in four rooms of the house, each representing the individual drama of the four characters. On the other hand, the audience goes around the house and appreciates each music/story as if looking into it. It was performed in Tokyo in 2019, but as it was a site-specific work, it was recreated in order to match the quality of the work with houses in London.
