Business Overview
International exchange activities between Co. Ruri Mito (Representative Ruri Mitsuto) and Gobi Dance Company (Representative Rita Gobi). The duo's work "Freestyle" choreographed by Rita Gobi and assisted by Ruri Santo was performed in Budapest, Tokyo. The theme of the work is (This term was proposed by the Dutch historian Huizinga to define human beings from the standpoint of recognizing their essential function in playing.). This paper explores how two people who are physically similar but have different backgrounds recognize their bodies. The results of exchange activities between young choreographers and dancers of the same age who are internationally acclaimed will be presented in each country. Profile
< Ruri Santo >
A dancer and choreographer from Tokyo. In recent years, he has won many first prizes in international choreography competitions and has been invited to European festivals. He has also participated in works by international choreographers such as Damien Jalet, Sasha Waltz and Wim Vandekebus. Started creating group works as Co. Ruri Mito in 2017.
<Rita Gobi>
Dancer and choreographer from Serbia. Graduated from the Hungarian Dance Academy and founded Gobi Dance Company in 2006 based in Budapest. She has been selected as one of the Aerowaves Twenty18 selected artists, has won many awards in international choreography competitions, and has been invited to festivals in Western countries.
