Business Overview

The future left to Naoki Sakata and Berwaltz, who conquered a composition contest in Japan in 2017. The talented trumpeter Yelun Berwaltz, who is adored by composers all over the world and has an extraordinary talent in technique and expression, teamed up with the composer Naoki Sakata, who is the most trusted and watched now, to develop a new repertoire of trumpets! A new song by a trumpet solo and a string ensemble will be born. From Baroque masterpieces to new pieces, it is a program for the future with Yokohama Sinfonietta's cutting-edge string ensemble. The Arditti String Quartet and dancer Tsuyoshi Shirai toured the country (total of 16 shows) with John Cage/Arditti arrangement "Apartment House 1776" (2004-05), and the group also tours contemporary music every two years, broadcast on NHK (2017). The year after Tambuco (percussion ensemble, Mexico) received the Japan Foundation Award, they organized a residency project in Mexico for four young Japanese composers. They have also produced the Japanese premieres of Toshio Hosokawa's "The Singing Gardens of Venice" and "The Raven" (2014), and the world premiere of Aichi Triennale's "The Secret Bedroom" (2016).
