Business Overview
Theater Commons is a project that utilizes the "common knowledge" of theater to create "common land" in society. By "using theater" in daily life and urban space, in other words, utilizing theatrical ideas, it aims to present the form of "the coming theater/theater". Through theatrical imagination, different things and multiple times intermingle, and together with the artist, they create an experience that brings dialogues and discoveries that disintegrate everyday life. The third annual event featured theatrical performances by Shankar Venkateshwaran (India), Maxime Curvels (France) and Ogtu Mulaya (Kenya/Netherlands), lecture-style performances by Rabia Mulue (Lebanon/Germany) and Wang Hongkai (Taiwan), workshops to share creative processes with participants, and video installations by Koki Tanaka and Meiro Koizumi, as well as reading performances and symposiums.
