FY30 Creation Grant [Single-year grant program] 1st term

Business Overview

The purpose of this activity is to provide audiences with a wide range of plays from Japan and overseas, to think together about our nation, our people, and our lives in the midst of various problems, and to exchange plays from Japan and overseas. The store house collection was started in 2013 and 2018 was the 6th year. Contemporary theater is thought to have explored the universal nature of human beings within the framework of nations, peoples, and cultures, but now that that framework is changing dramatically, we are creating an opportunity for overseas and Japanese groups and audiences to think together about what theater can do. Artistic director: KIMURA Shingo is at the center of programming with coordinators from each country. 【 Japan-Korea Theater Week 】 Theater Company Cheolbyok (Author: Park Geun-young/Director: Chung Chi-wook) Poko Poko Club (Author: Watanabe Yoshihiro/Director: Mikami Yo-ei) 【 Thailand Week 】 B-Floor Theatre (Author/Director: Teerawat Mulvilai) Storehouse Company (Author/Director: Kimura Shingo)

Profile

[Store House]
It was established to provide a theater space to various companies at a reasonable price, and to plan and produce stage plays using the theater as a base. The theater emphasizes its role as a place to connect those who express and those who watch, and although it is a small theater, it has a lobby. There is no screening of the theater companies that use it, and they are allowed to use it freely as a place of expression.
The festivals organized by both domestic and foreign groups are organized with an emphasis on the high level of awareness and the potential for creating performing arts.
