Business Overview
A personal exhibition by Masaki Sugihara. Two new installations will be exhibited that encourage the participation of viewers with the consistent theme of "breathing." On the first floor is a balloon-shaped work called “Kinoi ” that moves based on the viewer's breathing data, and on the second floor is“ Awaoto, ” which amplifies the sound of bubbles popping into electronic sounds. Profile
【 Maki Sugihara 】
Started in 2010 as a core member of the art unit eje, which consists of members who are active in various specialized fields such as sound, video/interactive, graphics, and fashion. In 2013, he won the Special Prize of the 16 Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art for his installation "Monooto," in which viewers can listen to the sounds of various "things." Since then, he has announced a number of projects, including Otoyu (2015), an experiential project that encourages changes in taste through music. In 2017, he began developing his own works.
