Profile
"Itoayatsuri Ningyo Hitoitoza/Hitoito YUKI"
He was the third son of Magosaburo YUKI (the deceased), the 10th head of the Yuki-za.
Succeeded to the third Kazuito YUKI in 1972. It became independent from the Yuki-za Theater in 2003 and launched 'Edo Itoayatsuri Ningyo-za Theater' in 2005. In 2015, the name was changed to 'Itoayatsuri Ningyo Hitoshi-za' (Itoayatsuri Ningyo Hitoshi-za), which has existed up to the present day. In addition to the classical works of Edo Itoatsuri puppets, he has worked on works by Kenji MIYAZAWA, Euripides, Bataille, Brecht, and Artaud. He has also performed overseas and received high acclaim.
In 2015 he was invited by the University of Bologna, Italy, to perform "Classics and Arto 24:00 Excerpts Again" under the theme "Tradition and the Avant-Garde". At the same time, a workshop for students and an open symposium with Arto researchers were held over three days. He has been producing experimental plays one after another through the new discovery of classical puppets and collaborations with people who transcend the field of new works.
