Profile

[Hi-bye]
Formed in 2003 around the leader Iwai Hideto. In the first place, people who are awkward, self-conscious to the point of spinning their wheels, and who seem to be unable to get along with the flow of the world appear in awkward situations, and while you're in a hurry, you laugh at the situation as it turns into something you can't even look at, and you get a glimpse of the abyss of life. Iwai, who won the Mukaida Kuniko Prize and the Kishida Kunio Drama Prize one after another, depicts such an impossible world, and thanks to quirks such as Wakaba Nagai, Tetsu Hirahara, and Chiaki Kawamono, who are highly regarded even in external performances, this movie makes you think, "It's possible, no, this is the world itself." His representative works are "Hickey Cancoon Tornado," "Te" and "A Woman."
