Business Overview

The 43 th Regular Concert featured works commissioned by Music From Japan, a New York-based organization dedicated to introducing contemporary Japanese music, as well as works by composers recommended by the North American Music Critics Association. Three percussionists belonging to the Tokyo Sinfonietta performed percussion works by Japanese composers and performed concertos by young Dutch composers for the first time in Japan with percussionists invited from the Netherlands as soloists. 【 Tokyo Sinfonietta 】
Tokyo Sinfonietta was established in 1994 with the aim of introducing contemporary music through outstanding performances and being directly involved with the creation of current composers. Since then, she has held regular concerts in Tokyo, performed at various music festivals, and performed at major contemporary music festivals around the world, starting with France and Germany in 1996. Through these activities, he has picked up works by more than 140 contemporary composers, commissioned new pieces from 16 composers of different generations, and performed world and Japanese premieres.
