Business Overview
In 2018, the Hawaiian Islands marked 150 years since Japanese immigrants immigrated to the islands. To celebrate this history, local organizations organized the Executive Committee for the 150 Year Anniversary of Japanese Immigration (a general term for the 150 people who emigrated from Yokohama Port in 1868) and are planning and holding various events throughout the islands. our association began his activities in Hawaii in 2013, and has organized exchange programs such as the Japan Foundation concert, the Emperor's Birthday under the diplomatic mission system, the inauguration ceremony of the diplomatic corps, the Doll Festival, the Japan-U.S. Council Hawaii convention, the University of Hawaii Gagaku Club, JASH (Japan-America Society), and Punahou High School. In recognition of the many exchanges that have been carried out over the past five years, we were invited by various groups that belong to the First Year Committee to hold this performance. The performance program was specially composed in response to the requests of the local people who wanted to see Kabuki buyo, and included Nihon no Shoka Medley and Shiki no Hana (Gidayu 'Sanbaso'/Nagauta 'Kikuzushi'/Nagauta 'Ishibashi'/Nagauta 'Shizuka to Tomomori'). The Japanese dancers wore full-scale wigs, makeup and costumes, and the Shoka medley was performed by Kyoju ENN, a Japanese folk song singer, who played Shoka on the shamisen. The main dancers and staff are as follows. Takamasa Fujima (Chairperson of Harmony of Japan), Keijiro Wakayanagi, Ryuha Kawamoto, Magane Fujima, Takayui Fujima, Kichika Fujima, Takakage Fujima, Takanori Fujima, Takanosuke Fujima, Kyoju Enn (Shamisen Minyo), Shinya Morino (Shochiku Costume), Kazuyuki Asai (Kashiwaya Tokoyama), Yoko Hirano (Production), Atsuko Kaizuka (Elegant Noble)
