Business Overview

The purpose of the activity is to introduce young Japanese artists to overseas audiences in the form of exhibitions and to promote young artists. It was held with the aim of increasing the exposure of young artists overseas. In addition to the traditional method of introducing artists by exhibiting at art fairs, we aimed to build a "place" to expand our activities as a new method by exchanging with overseas galleries. Invited by Devening Projects, a gallery in Chicago, USA, this group exhibition was held by three young Japanese artists, Shunsuke Imai, Soji Matsunobu, and Ryota Nojima. Founded in 2007, Devening Projects is planned and managed by Dan Devening, a professor at the University of the Art Institute of Chicago, one of North America's leading art universities. The contents of the exhibition are flat works. Imai: 3 paintings, Matsunobu: 4 flat paintings, Nojima: 4-5 paintings, etc. The content and concept focused on the basic elements of a flat work, such as space, composition, and narrative, and presented a figurative expression to an audience in Chicago, where the Art Institute of Chicago and the University affiliated with the Art Institute of Chicago are located.
