Business Overview

Dialogue in the Dark Hiyama Akira, Risomatics Research and Anrealage Morinaga Kunihiko create clothes that correspond to space under the theme of "echo" through dialogue about the senses. The experience of "seeing" space with a sense different from that of the eyes, which receive light and perceive space, awaits us. In echo, the clothing itself emits a signal, perceives space by measuring distance, and the response is returned to us as vibrations. This is a project to experience and think about a way of perceiving space that has never been felt before through "echo" which is transmitted by the clothes themselves and feels the distance to the space.

Hiyama Akira of Dialogue in the Dark is the project attendant, and this project was born in collaboration with Risomatics Research and Anrealage to pursue a new body organ that emits signals and vibrates by recognizing distance from space. They are developing "echo wear" which is mainly clothes and "echo band" which is worn on the palm. It started with an exhibition at the Yokohama Paratriennale 2017.
