Business Overview
"Machi-chu Connected Exhibition" is an exhibition that connects "art" with "town" as the stage. It is an activity that leads to the development of a prosperous town by displaying various "art works" in a number of "shops in the town" and creating new connections between people and creating "a town rich with art". With the message of "connecting," the exhibition is an art event in which works of art are displayed at 50 participating stores in Minami-Nagasaki, Nagasaki, Chihaya, Kaname-machi, Kita-Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, and Ekoda, Nerima Ward. A stamp rally and workshop were held with stamps created with participants. Before and after the exhibition, an exhibition of all works titled “Hajime ” (venue: Turner Gallery) and“ Musubi ” (venue: Kitaike Gallery PORTFORIO) and a performance/workshop were held.

The "Machichu Connected Exhibition" started in 2016 and has been held 4 times so far. The executive committee was formed from the 5th exhibition. It is supported by Toshima Ward and Nerima Tourism Center (Nerima Industrial Promotion Corporation). There were a wide range of participants from the Faculty of Art, Nihon University (Ekoda), and day care facilities for the disabled (welfare work center/practical life training center).
