Profile
Takuro Kotaka
Born in 1984, lives in Tokyo. He has spent time in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, presenting video works that delve into negative histories and social systems, using rumors and forgotten symbols as motifs. Until 2012, he managed "Recycle Shop Kotaka Shoten" in Tokyo where artists, musicians and writers gathered. In recent years, he has been involved in a network that crosses multiple genres, such as Nikoniko Mountains, a brand that fuses decotra culture and fashion, and the National Okutama Art Museum, an artist group that works mainly at a former lumber mill deep in the mountains.
