Business Overview

Based in a public school, Japanese and Indian artists hold open productions, performances and workshops. Each of them unearthed the story of Ladakh and explored the possibilities of art that could lead to a happy future. Asai Yusuke, a Tokyo-based artist, created earth paintings using local soil, and expresses the grace of the earth with murals that fill the walls of his classroom. Amp Berkey from Bangalore is involved in the community by interspersing art. Tushar Vayeda and Mayur Vayeda, indigenous Waruri people, reconstruct the story of the land using the traditional techniques of Waruri painting. At the gallery "LAMO" (http://www.lamo.org.in) in the city of Leh, Asai will hold workshops and talks to convey the current state of Japanese contemporary art. Works by Tomoko Momiyama (Tokyo resident, composer) and Kazune Yahikozawa (Tokyo resident, filmmaker), who were invited last time (2014), will be performed to publicize the possibilities of various arts.
