Business Overview
This project is part of "Somatic Field Project," a research project started by choreographer Hiroaki Umeda with the aim of developing his own movement method and training and nurturing young dancers in Japan. This project introduces new works using those who have experienced the method, and re-choreographes and re-performs works made in the past for beginners of the method. Umeda actively employs young dancers to experience the creative process of choreography for various companies around the world, and educates them not only in terms of dance skills but also in terms of professional experience. In addition, the Japanese premiere of Umeda's solo work will be held at the same time, which will serve as a stepping stone for both Umeda and the project to increase opportunities for their activities in Japan.
