Business Overview

A new performance by "Integrated Dance Company Hibiki Kyo" featuring dancers with and without disabilities. The theme is whether we can create a new dance art. Two choreographers with different personalities were invited. The first film features Shintaro Hirahara, who has a reputation for theatrical dance works. The theme of the film is things that are obscured or misunderstood by wearing something. The second is Thomas Noone, a mid-career player in Europe. At the intersection of gesture and swing, he developed a phrase with subtle movements, creating a new expression through movement.

[Creative Arts Executive Committee]
It was established in May 1990 to support people with disabilities in expressing themselves through art and to explore new possibilities for art. Since then, she has been developing activities to ask questions about the new way society should be through the participation of not only people with disabilities, but also people of all ages, genders and ethnicities in art activities. In June 2014, he established Hibiki Kyo, an integrated dance company to develop new forms of dance expression that make use of diverse physical characteristics, in addition to participation-type activities and local art project-type businesses. It is attracting attention as an effort to integrate society and art.
