Business Overview
"NIKASAN" is a stage art company led by photographer and director Arata Mino, with drama turku and production. This is the first theatrical performance in five years by Mino, who has performed mainly in galleries under his own name. A black-box theater is superimposed on a camera obscura and a nuclear power plant, which are also enclosed spaces, to tell the story of the modern physical sense of time and the process of creating images. Profile
[Nikasan]
A performing arts company led by photographer and director Arata Mino. Since 2010, Mino has been the leader of Hippie Club, a company that "explores the relationship between photography and the body." After the group disbanded, he founded the company after several years of performing works under his own name.
Mino's major performances and exhibitions include "Humans and Fish on the Beach" (G/P gallery shinonome & Tokyo University of the Arts Museum, 2016) and "Prepared for film" (SNAC & G/P gallery, 2014). He exhibited contemporary art works at the exhibition "Malformed Objects - Bricolage for Countless Bodies" (Yamamoto Gendai, 2017), and produced a workshop and performance piece featuring Ameya Norimizu.
