Business Overview

Butoh was born in Japan after the war and is now spreading all over the world. Its popularity seems to be higher overseas. Yuko KAWAMOTO learned the technique of Hijikata buto from Yukio WAGURI, a direct pupil of Tatsumi HIJIKATA, the founder of buto. In recent years, she has actively promoted dance exchanges with Europe and Asia, sharing a deep understanding of the problems of each country and having a global perspective. Inspired by the issue of "The Past, Present, and Future of the Atomic Bomb" this production was premiered in Tokyo on the premise of an overseas tour, creating a dance work that inspires the world's consciousness and resonates while centering on the innovative spirit of dance. Finally, they will perform overseas.
