Business Overview
"Cantat" is a new word that refers to events such as concerts, workshops, and performances for choral singing held intensively for a certain period of time. With the aim of promoting choral music in Japan and promoting choral activities as part of culture, the festival has been held annually since 1996, and 2018 will mark its 23rd year. “Tokyo Cantat” consists of two pillars: introducing choral music from around the world and reaffirming Japanese choral culture. While holding seminars and concerts conducted by internationally active conductors and composers as lecturers, concerts focus on the beauty of the Japanese language, traditional Japanese music, and Japanese composers. Since 2008, the company has held a biennial "Choral Conducting Competition for Young Conductors."
