FY29 Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program] 1st term

Business Overview

Taking the form of a lecture by a scientist who discovered the aborigines, this work leaps from Manuel Reinfante's original book, which asks post-colonial questions, to the question of what the other is by incorporating VR into the performance. Audiences flock to see a rare creature called a human. How can an audience continue to observe a human animal in a space that uses VR to multiply the concept of a human zoo and a space that continues to be delineated and connected to the ground?
