Business Overview
Young contemporary dance festival organized by dance company Baobab. In light of the recent crisis in the contemporary dance industry, where young people have fewer opportunities to play active roles, the program was implemented to improve the current situation and revitalize the industry as a whole. Based on the improvements and feedback found in the first session, new systems and members will be assembled, and further communication between young dancers will be activated and the creation and performance environment will be improved. It is intended to be an opportunity to encourage many energetic and dense works of young people to be performed.

Profile
【Baobab】
The director, Wataru Kitao, choreographed, composed and directed all the works, and together with Fuyuko Mezawa (producer and dancer) and Saori Yoneda (dancer), the project is planned and operated. For each production, they recruit people who transcend the boundaries of dancers and actors, and they make everyone dance regardless of whether they have experience or are good or bad at it. It is characterized by indigenous original choreography that is not bound by existing genres.
