Business Overview

This country has a great number of traditional performing arts. In particular, there are many 'katarigei' (narrating performances), and they have developed with a multilayered nature based on the preceding performing arts. In the modern age of visual superiority, a variety of arts that require the ability to listen and to imagine have been handed down and are alive today. Noh plays, setsudan sermons, sermon on sutras, kodan storytelling, Gidayu-bushi, rakugo, rokyoku ....... We invite leading performers, writers, and researchers of the storytelling arts that we can hear today. First, we listen to their amazing demonstrations up close. Then, we listen to their "historical views" about the soil in which each art was born, what characteristics it had, and who played and enjoyed it. Then, we clarify the identity of the art and listen to their thoughts on training and succession. By listening to the 11 episodes in total, I would like to see the role of narratives in this country and think about the future.
