Business Overview

This solo performance uses the Constitution of Japan, the textbook "The Story of a New Constitution" published by the Ministry of Education (at that time), and speeches by Yukio Ozaki, Hitoshi Ashida, and others as texts to bring to light the essence of the Constitution of Japan, and shares questions about the Constitution and this society with the audience without getting caught up in revising or protecting the Constitution. It has been performed on the rooftop of the Wakayama Museum of Art in Ginza and in ST spots. This work will be performed at the Temp d’Image Festival in Cluj, Romania, and at the Centrul de Teatru Educațional Replika in Bucharest. It transcends the geographical distance between Asia and Eastern Europe and presents the possibilities of theater to the nation and society based on the Constitution.
