Business Overview

The kotsuzumi is a musical instrument with an elaborate structure that is rare in the world, and a rich timbre that reminds one of the water produced by the Japanese climate. I want to convey the charm of this kotsuzumi! With this in mind, he planned "The Third Toshokai Concert - The World of Tsuzumi that Echoes Your Heart". From classical music, we will present a diverse program of nagauta "Matsunooka," "Kishu Dojoji," "Gidayu" Shojo, "and" Umi to Kaze to, "a creative composition in collaboration with shadow pictures. Tadashi Nakatsuji, an artist of shadow puppets and paper cutouts, has been invited to participate in "The Sea and the Wind," and is planning to incorporate sounds from the natural world into a concert with traditional Japanese music. We would like to deliver the world of Tsuzumi that touches the heart of Japanese music lovers as well as those who are not familiar with Japanese music. The performers are Hikojuro MOCHIZUKI, Tatsusaburo MOCHIZUKI, Komanosuke TAKEMOTO, Sanju TSURUSAWA, Masajuro IMADO, Mitaro KINEYA, Sakijuro MOCHIZUKI, Hikokei MOCHIZUKI and others. Profile

[General Incorporated Association Hogaku-bayashi Research Institute Saishokai]
It was established for the purpose of preserving and passing on the music of Hogaku-bayashi, as well as searching for and researching new forms of Hogaku-bayashi based on the techniques and sensibilities developed by our predecessors over a long history. In past concerts, he has commissioned and presented new pieces in addition to classical music such as Nagauta and Kiyomoto. In addition, visual effects such as dances and images have been incorporated, and efforts have been made to "convey the music of hogaku bayashi in an easy-to-understand manner". At last year's concert, she presented new works with Chinese and Korean instruments. Other activities include the publication of nagauta scores (nagauta, "Tokimune (Goro)" and "Tsurukame"). There are also small hand drum classes in Ginza.
