Business Overview
Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori is an Awa Odori that has been developed as a local performing art of Tokushima Prefecture, and through performing it in Koenji, Tokyo, its purpose is to connect "people to people" and "people to the community," to promote the prosperity of the local community, and to contribute to cultural exchange with various regions in Japan and other countries. It is held for two days on the last weekend of August every year at a total of eight performance halls north and south of JR Koenji Station and two indoor venues. When the festival is held at the Enbujo, a total of 11000 dancers from more than 160 groups from around the Kanto region, including local groups, participate, and the total number of spectators approaches 1 million. Also, stage performances will be held at "Cecion Suginami" and "Za Koenji". The performance, which uses lighting and sound, is popular as a place where you can experience the charm of Awa Odori, which is different from the performance halls in the city. In addition to holding the Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori, Odori-ren is actively disseminating information about the Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori by sending Odori-ren to the following places. Exchange activities with friendly municipalities in Suginami Ward International conferences in Tokyo, parties for overseas tourists, ceremonies, etc.
