Business Overview

Reborn Homes through my voice is a project about memory, sound and voice by two sound artists Tomoko Hojo and Rahel Kraft. What sounds do you think of when you think of home? Regardless of nationality, gender, or social status, everyone has a special memory of a place called home. A particular sound environment in an individual's special place -- the squeak of the floor, the sound of a doorbell, the sound of a bird at dawn -- is preserved as a mental "memory" rather than an objective media "record." Based on the sounds of memories collected through interviews with local residents, the artists bring their personal soundscapes to life in the former Hirakushida Chutei. Every weekend during the exhibition, there will be voice workshops that do not require special skills and performances with guests.
