Business Overview
Traditionally, Canadian theater consisted of English dialogue modeled on Shakespeare and French Canadian visual theater. But over the past 10 years, that has changed. Refugees and immigrants, who were not satisfied with the snobbish theater created by white people, started thinking, "Let's think about our own problems, let's dramatize them ourselves." "Contemporary Canadian Theater: The Latest Series" is planned with the aim of introducing the plays created by these newcomers to Japan and breathing new air into the country. In addition to selecting works by up-and-coming writers in their 30~40 s for the first time in Japan, directors of the same age are assigned to show the "present". This is the third work in the series and presents the intimate psychological drama "Elephant Song" set in a mental hospital.
