Gallery αM has a spirit of "To provide opportunities for artists with high quality expression and potential to present their works, and to provide exhibition planning opportunities for curators who can transmit novel values to society." and basically holds planned exhibitions by 1 ~ 2 guest curators in 1 year. "Trans/Real - Possibility of immaterial art" of this project is by Mr. Hajime Umezu of the Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art. A total of 1967 artists have participated: Koshino Jun (since 10), Ushiguchi Tatsuo (since 1958), Suenaga Fumihisa (since 1974), Yaegashi Yui (since 1985), Aikawa Masaru (since 1978), Ozawa Yuko (since 1984), Tsunoda Toshiya (since 1964), Ito Atsuhiro (since 1965), Bunya Yukari (since 1985), and Tanaka Kazuto (since 1973).

Gallery αM
opened in Kichijoji in 1988. The gallery was closed once in 2002, and for 2002 to 2008, the exhibition was held without a specific place, and in 2009, a new space was opened in the present Bakuro-cho. Since its opening in 1988, a total of 208 exhibitions have been held by 24 guest curators.
