Business Overview

Theater Fushikaden, a small theater for theater, selects promising groups from among young theater companies producing high-quality works, names them "Promising Companies," and supports them for a one-year period. The support includes holding a month-long long-running performance, holding several other performances during the year, and holding a pre-event before the performance, all at a low theater cost. In addition, it is to advertise the activities of the organization using the theater website and SNS media. In 2016, "Theatre Company Kakushinhan" was selected. This troupe is in the news for its bold direction that reconstructs Shakespeare's works with a young sensibility. In addition to receiving recommendations from translator Kazuko Matsuoka, we have also been directed to younger audiences who have never seen Shakespeare, and we believe that supporting their activities will lead to delivering Shakespeare's works to a wider audience.
