Business Overview
A dance performance project for young people consisting of a stage program and a free program. In light of the recent crisis in the contemporary dance industry, where there are fewer opportunities for young people to play active roles, this project aims to improve the current situation and revitalize the industry as a whole. The aim is to create a creative and performance environment, strengthen ties between dancers and creators, and increase opportunities for abundant works to be performed on various scales.

【Baobab】
Presiding Director: Kitao Wataru choreographed, composed and directed all works. She plans and manages the project with members Fuyuko Mezawa (producer/dancer) and Saori Yoneda (dancer). For each piece, performers are recruited, and the body and dance are handled boldly and delicately. Dogi-like rhythmic choreography takes into account the details of the body and facial expressions, and is characterized by the overwhelming group dance. She is actively involved in event planning, festival participation, workshops and outreach, and continues to seek a borderless relationship between dance and audience. Kitao won the Toyota Oreography Award 2012 "Audience Award" and the 3rd Elseur Foundation Rookie Award in the contemporary dance category (2014).
