Business Overview
The event will feature high-level performances of three pieces of traditional Japanese music, from classical pieces to modern pieces, performed by key members of the association. The program consists of eight pieces, ranging from classical pieces to modern pieces, such as "Meiji Shochikubai," "Hanako," "Jakku," and "Shichiteso for Japanese Instruments" (a piece commissioned for this concert). Performers include Living National Treasures such as Fumiko Yonekawa (Honorary Chairperson), Shoin YAMASE (Honorary Chairperson), and Seikin TOYAMA (Vice Chairperson), as well as top executives of major association companies such as Junsuke KAWASE (Chairperson), Shoin HAGIOKA (Vice Chairperson), Hiroko NAKANOJIMA (Executive Director, the same shall apply hereinafter), Akitoki AOKI, Misoshi NOSAKA, and Toshiko Yonekawa, and young people who will lead the next generation.

The association aims to promote the spread of so, sangen, and shakuhachi, and to promote exchanges between schools of sankyoku, thereby contributing to the promotion of Japanese traditional arts and the development of Japanese music culture. As specific activities, the association mainly conducts public works such as concert programs such as "Nihon no Hibiki" and "Sankyoku Meiryu Concert," education-related programs such as dispatching musicians to schools and giving lessons on Japanese musical instruments to teachers, and training programs for young musicians such as "Sankyoku Encouragement Society" and "Children's Concert." As of the end of fiscal 2014, there were 5,400 members, mainly in the Kanto region.
