Business Overview
During the “Weeping Cherry Blossoms and Daimyo Garden Illumination ” event that is scheduled to be held in the spring of 2016 at Rikugien Garden, a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, a place for Daikagura performance will be set up in the“ Icho Square ” in the garden. With the cooperation of Light Stuff Co., Ltd., we designed the "light" unique to the space that makes use of the program of Daikagura while not destroying the original image of lighting up Rikugien Garden. The members of Seno Maruichi Shachu performed "Edo Daikagura" (designated as a folk intangible cultural property of Tokyo), which is said to have been performed around daimyo mansions in the Edo period. In addition to the existing programs, we will develop new programs that can only be performed at the time of illumination, and by performing at the event, which is visited by many ordinary citizens, we aim to spread the program to a wide range of generations and further pass it on.

Profile
Eichi NISHIDA
From 1998, he studied Edo daikagura under KAGAMI Kosen (present Seno MARUICHI). Since then, she has performed at various events and on stage under the name "Senjaku". In 2009, she performed in Denmark and England as a project sponsored by the Japan Foundation. He also produces and performs in the music theater "Yume" and the entertainment unit "Yamada Takao's" Zabuton Ichiza "" and is involved in various stage creation activities.
[Maruichi Seno Shachu] Maruichi Seno, the representative, is the 13th iemoto of Edo Daikagura. They hold training open to the public once a week. 2015 marked the 21st year of the "Edo Daikagura-no-kai" which is held once a year, and they are making efforts to train young people.
