Profile
[Soho 21]
With the aim of creating new and living traditional Japanese music based on tradition, in September 1996, at the request of Masataro IMATOU and Jyouku KINEYA, those who have the desire to create Japanese music from each genre gathered and started a study group. In January 1997, 'Soho 21' was formed with 13 members. In March, he established a literary club, and after holding a series of study meetings and trial performances, he held the first concert of his works in May 2000. Since then, he has held concerts almost once a year and presented his original Japanese music works, mainly newly written works. Since 2010, he has held public lectures on "The Crucial Points of Creation" 1~2 times a year, analyzing works from the perspective of a creator and offering suggestions on how to listen to them.
