Business Overview

MultipleTap was formed as a collective of artists to represent the "excessive and chaotic" Japanese noise and improvisational music scene. The group aims to raise the profile of Tokyo-based noise music globally and establish a platform for noise artists. In the first year, the group toured Europe and North America, and in the second year, they held a live concert in Tokyo and published an online magazine aimed at sharing information and promoting exchanges between the domestic and international noise scenes. [First-Year Project Overview] 1. European Tour: Live concerts at four European locations. Dates and Venues: 2015 (1) October 13: Recyclart, Brussels (2) October 14: Global, Copenhagen (3) October 15: Jazzhouse, Copenhagen (4) October 17: La Gaîtélyrique, Paris 2. North American Tour: Live concerts at eight locations in the United States, including collaborations with local artists. Publication of the web magazine "20Hz" (Published on March 31, 2017) Contents: The web magazine "20Hz" was published in Japanese and English, featuring reports from the US tour that took place in the first year, contributions and interviews from overseas noise musicians, and articles introducing the equipment they use.

[NPO MultipleTap]
Various artists including noise, installation, media art, Sho and Shamisen participated. The members have been active in Japan and overseas as individuals, but noise musician Koka Tsuyoshi has taken the lead in forming MultipleTap, a band of unique members. It was incorporated as an NPO in 2014.
