[Seinendan]
Seinendan was formed in 1983 by Oriza Hirata. The quiet and precise stage production using unique staging methods has won high praise both in Japan and abroad. In 2007, "Wakare no Uta" (Separation Song), which he co-produced with the National Theater Center of France, became a long-running hit in France, and since then he has had many co-productions with French directors. Since 2008, he has collaborated with The University of Osaka to produce plays in which humans and robots perform together. In 2012, the Android version of "The Three Sisters" and in 2014, the Android version of "Transfiguration" won high acclaim, and he has performed in Japan and overseas, attracting strong attention from various fields as a fusion of science and art and cutting-edge knowledge from different fields.
