FY27 Term I Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program]

Business Overview
This is a collaboration between two worlds: a dancer from the Pina Bausch Wuppertal Dance Company and a Japanese artist. Fabien Prioville, a former member of the Pina Bausch Wuppertal Dance Troupe, and 7 Japanese artists selected from over 200 auditions, will create a new world and genre this summer. During the Creations held in Tokyo, Germany, all the performers are paired up and stay at each other's homes and experience living together as they develop their work. "SOMA Project" is a world premiere attempt to create a completely new world with a new "body" = "SOMA" created by the collaboration of artists with different cultures, backgrounds and physicality from everyday life.
