Business Overview
【 Background 】 Director Takano's strong desire to express the "richness of the island" he experienced when he visited Izu Oshima in the summer of 2013 was the starting point for this project. The production team stayed on Izu Oshima several times prior to filming, interacting with the island and the people who live there, and proceeding with production that is not bound by conventional filmmaking methods. Story: A 28 year-old man from Izu Oshima returns to the island for the first time in 10 years to help a friend with his job. He meets and falls in love with three women on the island. High school ex-lovers and female university students visiting the island. His summer is at the mercy of women and love. Profile
[Toru Takano]
Born in 1988. A film director. Graduated from Yokohama National University Graduate School of Urban Innovation. His 2010 film Not Only Lovers Get Wet received high praise at film festivals in Japan and overseas, including the SKIP City International D-Cinema Film Festival and the Beijing Dokuritsu Film Festival. After that, he continued his energetic production activities, and this is his feature film directorial debut.
