Business Overview
"Anton, cat, chestnut." which premiered in 2009, is a story about Anton, a Nora cat, and the interactions between his neighbors around the cat, and captures everyday life in Japan within a 50 meter radius. In 2010, he collaborated with musician Yasuno Taro to remake the script as a "polyphony play" with musical score. This is an experimental work that captures the words spoken by the actors as music and creates scenes by sampling them. In addition, English subtitles were created in accordance with the concept, creating rhythmic programs. Along with the performance, there will be talks with local artists and a WS using the production method. Formed in 2004 (renamed from koyubichi to Kaikai on April 1, 2008)
A theatrical company based in Tokyo that continues to present works in a unique style of group production.
Pioneering new expression in the performing arts, he has portrayed the complex cities and people of today with his "storytelling" style, while creating a new pop depiction of human nature that is gradually enveloped in a sense of happiness.
Since 2009, he has been working in Asia, the EU, and the United States. In 2010, he became the first Asian to win the ZKB Patronage Prize 2010 at the Zurich Theatre Spectacle with his representative work My name is I LOVE YOU. 2013: 'Ringo' (Ringo) was nominated for the 57 Kishida Kunio Drama Prize.
