Business Overview
The Yuki Theater of Edo Itoayatsuri Dolls, which has a history of 380 years and is designated as a Tokyo Metropolitan Intangible Cultural Property and a National Record Selected Intangible Folk Cultural Property, will hold a lecture, workshop and classical performance (Sanbaso Sambaso, '' Jushishi Kotobukijishi, '' Tsunadate Tsunayakata, '' Date Musume Koichi Kanodate Musume Koi no Higanoko. ') in Vietnam. This will be the first introduction and performance of Edo Itoa puppets in Vietnam. Targeting both people involved in performing arts and the general public, further popularization effects will be sought. This Japan-Vietnam exchange program is also a preparatory project for the Japan-Vietnam international joint production of a contemporary theater performance scheduled for next fiscal year. The program will focus on introducing the Yuki theater of Edo ito ayatsuri dolls as a traditional performing art and include a contemporary theater workshop by director Yoji Sakate with an eye toward international joint production.

Since the first Magosaburo Yuki founded the theater in Kanei 12 (1635) during the Edo period, it has a history of 380 years until the current 12th Magosaburo Yuki. It is designated as National Record Selected Intangible Folk Cultural Property and Tokyo Metropolitan Intangible Cultural Property. Based on the classics, he is engaged in a wide range of activities, including performances of new works, sketches, and international co-productions. In addition, for the purpose of fostering and popularizing the younger generation, hands-on workshops for various age groups and long-term and full-fledged introductory cram schools that open the way to becoming a professional are held.
