Business Overview
KENTARO, one of the leaders in Japan's contemporary dance world!! At MOUVEMENTS SUR LA VILLE #6, which will be held at the same time as the Montpellier Dance Festival, she plans to perform her solo work and hold workshops and shows for local elementary schools and kindergartens. MOUVEMENTS SUR LA VILLE is an off-festival in which three independent companies/choreographers (Jan Woolloo, Ellen Katara, Didier Terron.) based in Montpellier open their studios (L'Atelier, La Salle 3, l'Espace Bernard Glandier) and jointly organize programs involving the community such as libraries, museums and schools. It started in 2009 and this year is the sixth time.

Profile
[KENTARO!!]
Born in 1980. Although it is based on HIPHOP techniques, it practices a unique expression different from the existing stylized ones. In recent years, it is a dance that unambiguously synchronizes with the original sound source and weaves a story without much narrative.
Received "French Embassy Award for Young Choreographers" at Yokohama Dance Collection R in 2008 and "Audience Award & Next Stage Special Award" at Toyota Choreography Award 2008. In 2010, he received the Japan Dance Forum Award.
He has been invited by many people from overseas, and he energetically transmits his feelings and dances.
