Business Overview

The artist Naito Rei has made us aware of subtle forms of existence that we cannot see unless we squint our eyes. She has mostly refused to have herself photographed. The story begins when a reporter asks Naito for an interview. Naito was born in Hiroshima. His first work on the theme of the atomic bombing was a space dedicated to the souls of the A-bomb victims, in which sculptures of people were placed close to the glass exposed to radiation. Interviewing by feeling your way .... However, Naito gradually began to feel uncomfortable being photographed by a camera. "When you're taken, you lose the ability to create." The interviewer shares Naito's theme of "Is our life a blessing in itself?" but decides to make a documentary without turning the camera on him. Meanwhile, five women, ranging in age from their teens to their seventies, are invited to visit Naito's masterpiece, the Toshima Museum of Art. The water in the mother form and the existence of the women overlap and resonate with each other, accepting the uncertainty of existence and the irrationality of living. What do they share and talk about in this place, which has been named the "mother model"? A view that touches the essence of life and the miracle of the world's existence appears there.
