FY26 Term I Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program]

Business Overview
Held every other year since 2002, the Documentary Dream Show is a film festival that aims to confront and reflect on the current state of the world through the screening of documentary films in various forms of expression that are not bound by conventional boundaries. The documentary film's pursuit of how to express or be able to express reality has many implications for those of us living in today's complicated and confusing world. This year, around 50 films will be screened, including those screened at the 2013 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival, as well as other world-leading gems and rare films. In addition, the symposium, which received a great response at the Yamagata Film Festival 2013, will be redesigned to create a venue for deeper discussion on documentaries. Also, as a special event, a variety of events are planned, including "Documentaries are ethics machines!" a discussion with Philip Chia from Singapore, and a screening and symposium on documentary ethics.
