FY26 Term I Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program]

Business Overview
The works of Kaori Seki are characterized by the movement and flow of the dancers, which can be likened to insects, primitive animals, or futuristic objects; the functions of the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch; the skin and bodily sensations that separate the outside world from the inside of the body; and the tranquil dialogue with gravity. In addition, with the importance of opening the five senses of the audience and allowing them to see the works using their entire bodies, she has tried to create a space structure and time direction that narrows the physical and mental distance between the performers and the audience. These techniques have been highly effective in creating a sense of closeness with the audience, but this film deepens and develops the techniques used so far in a large space that expands both horizontally and vertically. Through the scenery that emerges from the accumulation of the dancers' movements and the overlapping of the audience's viewpoints, it weaves together a time of "sympathy" with the audience.
