Profile
Tokyo Video Art Laboratory
It was established in February 2013 with the aim of reconsidering the possibilities and issues of video as a recording medium in the present age, and the methods of expression, led by the artist and video director Daitoku Yamashiro. It aims to open up new horizons for visual arts by creating a network of contemporary artists engaged in visual arts from various standpoints and creating a place for dialogue and experimentation. Members of different genres and specialties gather to promote projects through discussion, and create an environment in which visual expression is reexamined from diverse perspectives and diverse human exchanges that transcend specific genres.
