Business Overview

Aiming to create a national opera that is closely related to the emotions of Japanese life, (Reserved seat 2,500 yen, non-reserved seat 2,000 yen) will perform high-quality, low-cost creative operas at theaters in Asakusa, the birthplace of popular Japanese opera. Edo, the predecessor of Tokyo. The mono-opera "Ninjoka Monogatari Matsu to Oaki" depicts the sorrowful story of a man and a woman who live on the bottom of Edo society. Inspired by "rokyoku," in which a narrator speaks, sings, and plays along with a shamisen (three-stringed instrument), the original work by Yamamoto Shugoro was adapted by singer Okamura Takao, and the aria and monologue were composed by Onchon, the composer of "Sacchan" and "Inu no Police officer." NPO Minna no Opera
NPO Minna no Opera was established in 1995 in order to improve the situation that opera in Japan is unevenly distributed in the Tokyo metropolitan area and has little connection with the general public. The purpose of this organization is to produce excellent opera works at a high quality and low cost, to popularize opera in Japan, and to deliver opera overseas in order to improve the arts and culture.
