A Tokyo-based theater company founded in 2012. Yamada Yuri writes and directs all films. Seamlessly moving between the stage and the audience, between reality and another world, and between normalcy and madness, his style is characterized by his unbridled imagination and diverse techniques that bring to life the problems of contemporary Japanese society.
Since 2014, he has been working on the "House Project" where he creates and performs in houses and apartments rented on a long-term basis. He was nominated for the Kishida Kunio Drama Award for Fiction City (2017) and Mixture (2019). The Chinese version of Minna Yoro ga Koai (Everyone is scared) (premiered in 2015) toured all over China, and I'm thinking I'll understand (premiered in 2019) was performed in Paris as part of the official program of Festival d'Autonne in 2022.
