Business Overview

Ahoj is a greeting for meeting someone. On the island of Izu Oshima, an international theater festival is held in which the island's original cultural program and international works are performed together. This year's festival, the fifth of its kind, featured an international joint production by Bulgaria and the Puk puppet theater company, together with a program from the island. At the same time as conveying the charms of Oshima to the world, it presents a vision for the future of the islands.

Puke Puppetry Theatre
Puke Puppetry Theatre deeply pursues the characteristics of puppetry, while at the same time placing importance on the social and artistic qualities of a theatre, strengthening cooperation with artists of all genres and striving for the development of artistic creation. In addition, as a puppet theater open to the world, the company will work to develop and popularize traditional and contemporary Japanese puppet theater by expanding cooperation with theaters and performers in Japan and abroad. We will contribute to the well-being of all children and people and social peace, and provide an excellent theater experience for all.
