FY2024 2nd Term Creation Grant Category I. Single-year Grant Art Creation Activities

Business Overview

Play Modulor is a lecture-performance piece that critically reconsiders how the human body has been standardized under the logic of technology and rational design.
Starting with Le Corbusier's architectural scale system "Modulor" based on the golden ratio and the male body, this paper questions the historical process by which modern architecture and visual media have framed and optimized the body into "ideal shapes.".
Part lecture, part ritual, part performance of resistance, Play Modulor reveals that the body is not only a being measured by space, but also constructed and contested within the institutions of vision and space.
