Business Overview

Using the Osaka Expo held in 2025 as a motif, this autofictional work depicts the changes associated with the playwright's family business and the resulting family financial situation. In addition, the background of the performers, including the Angola village mayor and the rapper FUNI, was transformed into a hip-hop play.
12 rap songs were included in the play, taking up about half of the performance time and providing a high standard of entertainment.

Profile

[Tokatsu Sports]
A theatrical unit formed in 2008, for which the director, Sugatsu Kanayama, writes and directs. By applying hip-hop techniques such as sampling and rapping to theater, he has drawn attention for his style of cutting sharp fragments of modern society.
In recent years, he has been performing autofiction works that highlight his personal aspects.
In 2022, he won the 65 Kishida Kunio Drama Prize for "Pachinko (Top)," a picture of his family's pachinko parlor.
